Work out Classes!

Tonight my friend and I went to some workout classes at the TRAC! They were definitely interesting. The first one we went to was Latin Cardio Dance, and I was horrible at it! I do not have rhythm… at all!! I was all over the place trying to catch up with the instructor. But it was a good workout! Then we did yogalates. It was very difficult. I know that I am going to be super sore tomorrow! I am already sore! It was hard core! I am so glad that the TRAC offers classes for students for FREE! It is nice to be able to change up your workout routine. I have been getting bored with my workout routine so I am glad that I have other options! Hopefully I will find other classes that I will enjoy that I can get a good workout in.

Personal Trainer!

I met with my personal trainer today, and I am getting so much closer to my goal to be able to do the police test in May! Even though I am not taking a police test in May, I still want to be able to do it by May just so I can say that I can do it! I am really excited on how much progress I have made with my personal trainer!

I should be hearing from the job that I interviewed for sometime this week! I am really hoping it is soon because the anticipation is killing me! I really hope I got the job! It will be such a wonderful experience! Fingers crossed!!!

BTW.. 45 days until I graduate! And 52 days until my cruise!!! I am super excited!!

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes!!

The Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault is having their 5th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event to raise awareness against sexual assault. It is an awesome cause and men get into high heels and actually walk a mile to raise awareness! Women and children are also able to walk but are not required to wear high heels! I am doing the walk and I am trying to raise money for the cause! I already have money going toward it from the bake sale that we had in February! Hopefully I can raise more! I am on Team UIS and we currently have raised over $400 dollars! GO TEAM UIS!

If you are interested in donating here is my website! Please donate what you can to this awesome cause!

If you are just interested in learning more about the walk a mile in her shoes, here is a website you may go to!

Job Interview!

My first big girl job interview is at 2pm today! I am so nervous. I do not think I have been this nervous in a long time! I really want to get this job so hopefully I do good! I spent the weekend preparing in my head what I am going to say, and what needs to be said. I also read the Illinois College Advising Corps website so that I know exactly what they do and why they do it. This will help me when they ask me questions about why I want the job and why I would be good at it! I can’t believe how nervous I am!! Well wish me luck!!

Spring Break is almost over… :(

So spring break is almost over and I am kind of happy about it! I was getting really bored with not having any homework or work to do! The only good thing was that the weather has been beautiful this spring break. It got into the 70s yesterday! I was so excited! I busted out my jean shorts and flip flops!

I graduate in 57 days! I am so excited. Next week I get to go buy my cap and gown! It is all so bitter sweet! I can’t wait to graduate but I am scared at the same time! What am I going to do with my life after graduation!

My interview for the Illinois College Advising Corps in Monday and I am definitely excited about that! I went shopping last night for the perfect outfit for my interview, and I never realized how many rules there are for interview clothes! I really want to get this job! I hope it happens!

I booked my cruise for after graduation on Tuesday night! I am definitely excited about that! We leave a week after graduation, on May 21, and come back the 26! We are going to Cozumel Mexico! I am soooo excited! I cant wait!

Well classes start back up Monday! I am going to have a busy day Monday working then class then my interview! But it will all be worth it! Yay!!

I am thinking that I need to do something for myself for my graduation. I decided that I am going to treat myself to a cruise after I graduate to celebrate my graduation! I definitely think that I deserve it after four years of college! I am so excited! I can’t wait until I get to go on this cruise! Now all I have to do is find someone to go with me! 🙂

Officially Spring Break!

I am officially on spring break starting now! My last class was at 12, so now I am on spring break! I am so excited to be off school for a week! I still work (which stinks) but I think I would get bored if I didn’t work since I have no homework and I am not going anywhere for spring break now. I was suppose to go to Mississippi, but things came up for one of my friends so she couldn’t go anymore so we had to cancel the trip 😦 Gas prices are just to expensive for just two people to pay for gas on a 10 hour drive! But it is okay because I am going to spend lots of time with friends and family this spring break and get stuff done! I am definitely excited!

Job Interview!!!!!!

I just got a phone call from the Illinois College Advising Corps, and I have an interview on March 21st! I am beyond excited! I applied for a job as a college advisers through this non for profit company, and really want to do this for the first two years after I am out of school! I would be working in high schools helping kids pick colleges, filing out FAFSAs and doing other things to prepare them for college! I am so happy that I have an interview! It is my first interview for an actual job for when I graduate! This day just keeps getting better and better!

Mardi Gras Day!

Today at my job at the High School was Mardi Gras day! They are celebrating fine arts week and today we were asked to dress in Mardi Gras colors! It was a lot of fun! We all dressed up in our best Mardi Gras gear!

Tonight I have my first midterm of the semester 😦 I am not really that excited about it but it is the last time I will take midterms in my undergraduate career so I am pretty stoked about that! I graduate in 9 weeks and 4 days!!! Yay Me!!!

Personal Trainer!

I met with my personal trainer at the TRAC Saturday and we did an assessment to see how I have progressed! I cut off 1.5 minutes off my time to run the 1.5 miles! I was so excited! I am only 2 minutes away from the police test! I can’t wait until I am able to complete the entire police test with no problem! I graduate in 9 weeks and 5 days, and I plan on being able to do it by then! GO ME!

I love that I got my personal trainer though because she pushes me to work a lot harder than if I were doing this alone! It is nice that the TRAC offers services like personal trainers!

I am also excited because the TRAC is coming out with a new exercise class schedule and Yoga is going to be on it! I love yoga! I wanted to take classes this semester but none of the times have worked for me so hopefully this new schedule will have better times and classes! I am going to whip my butt into shape!
